I have a few questions about safety fandom criteria that I was hoping to get some clarity on.

1) Can we get some guidelines on length requirements for manga? There's definitely some wiggle room on how long manga can take to read (some chapters/volumes are longer or shorter, some manga are quicker or slower reads, etc.), but if "X time to read Y amount" works for comics, I figure it's probably reasonable for manga, too. A very informal survey tells me that 30-45 minutes per volume is pretty average, which would make it 7-10 volumes for 5 hours. Alternatively, if you think manga are too variable for a single metric to work and you'd rather have each fandom individually confirmed, I'm happy to swing by and do a run-through of all my arguably safety-eligible manga fandoms once nominations time rolls around, but I figured I would see if we can simplify things beforehand.

2a) More generally, for canons not originally in English, I'm assuming that there needs to be an English version for it to qualify as a safety, but can we get an official ruling on that?

2b) Does this English version have to be an official version, or can it be a fan translation (fansub, scanlation, etc.)? Given the prevalence of fan translations, especially for Japanese and Chinese media, the (im)permissibility of fan translations to meet safety fandom requirements will definitely make a difference for some fandoms.
