WHAT UP, it's nominations time! That means we're four weeks from the deadline! Haha! Don't panic! I'm definitely not panicking! It's fine!
You have two juicy options for nominating this year:
THE GOOGLE FORM
This is basically the same as last year, with two additions: you can put a pseudonym on your nominations, and approved noms will be visible on on the approved nominations spreadsheet. It's sorted by fandom and ship, but you can ctrl-F your pseud to find your own stuff. Everyone can see all the pseudonyms on the approved nominations spreadsheet so for God's sake don't use your email address (the form will yell at you if you try) or anything else private.
Some people asked whether we could set the setting on Google Forms that has them email you a copy of your responses. We tried it and immediately realized we didn't want the responsibility of owning a spreadsheet full of participant email addresses. Also, if you turn on that setting, the form requires an email address even if you don't want your answers emailed to you, and working around that is a pain. So we have the pseudonym option, and also a reminder on the form that it's a good idea to write out your nominations in a separate document and then copy them in so you have a record of them. Just like writing your fic in a separate document and then copying it over instead of writing directly in the AO3 posting form, which I personally have never done.
THE TAGSET
Yes! You can nominate through the tagset! BUT
1) Safety fandoms MUST be nominated through the Google form in order to be checked for safety status.
B) Any incorrect or questionable nominations in the tagset will be rejected immediately to keep the queue clear. If you want to renominate it correctly, you'll need to use the Google form.
Full instructions for nominating are here! Please read them, especially if you want to nominate something as a safety! And remember that a real person needs to check every nomination for safety status and everyone on our tagmod team is (like you) bravely struggling through life under late-stage capitalism, so please be patient if it takes us a day or two to approve stuff, especially now that there are two places to look for stuff to approve.
