High Adrenaline Exchange

Thanks and congratulations to everybody who wrote, beta'd, received fic, or in any way helped make Heart Attack go—and as always, double kudos for the pinch hitters. Can you believe there's people who have written THREE FICS for Heart Attack? And at 112 fics in the main collection, we have over a million words! That's incredible!

Thanks also to the lovely tagmods Karios, and lailah_tov, and PerfectlySteadfast for all the work they put in making this year's tagset the tidiest one yet. <3

For those trying to achieve the  triplecrownofexchanges, consider this a friendly reminder that you will first need to comment on any Heart Attack gifts you have in order to qualify. And whether you're participating in that or not, it's always nice to comment on your gifts! Here are some tips and tricks to leaving comments if you're not sure what to say.

Anybody who has late treats can add them to the Short Treats Collection, as the main collection is now permanently closed.

The next round of Heart Attack will take place in 2024, probably roughly around the same time. It will be run by a new mod, who I believe will be anonymodding. I'm a bit sad about the end of an era, but I am certain that the exchange will flourish in their capable hands, and I look forward to being able to sign up for Heart Attack as a regular degular participant.

If you have any thoughts about possible rule changes for Round 4, please drop them in the comments! We're specifically looking for rule change suggestions. So for example, instead of saying "Fandom XYZ shouldn't count as a safety", you might say "I believe that safety fandoms should be restricted to only fandoms that are specifically available on youtube" or whatever the case may be. Not all suggestions will necessarily be adopted, but all suggestions will be thoughtfully considered. <3

Congratulations to everyone who has posted! If you are still waiting on a gift, please don't be concerned, there are many people who have received extensions.

In order to give pinch hitters enough time to work, the reveals date has to be moved back. The new work reveals date is Wednesday, May 17 at 9:59pm Eastern, and the corresponding new author reveals date is Wednesday, May 24 at 9:59pm Eastern.

An updated pinch hit list will be out shortly, and best of luck to all the creators still working!

Countdown to Deadline • AO3 Collection

I hope you guys are having fun! There's roughly two days to go till deadline.

If you're posting a completed work, please check to make sure that it is publishable (e.g. no placeholders left in, actually finished story instead of ending mid-scene in expectation that more will be written, etc).

Please also remember to tag your fic with the relationship that your recipient requested.
