Nominations Clarifications #2
Nov. 4th, 2020 11:04 pmThank you everyone for your patience over the past couple days! Things have been busy, but you've been great. Extra love to VampirePaladin for helping with the tagset, she's been amazing. <3
If your fandom was accepted but your relationships were not, it's probably because you didn't disambiguate your relationships. A disambiguation is an indication of your fandom in parentheses, which will help mods know what fandom the tag belongs to in the case that a tag goes wandering, as tags sometimes do. For example, James T. Kirk/Spock (ST: TOS). That (ST:TOS) would help mods put the tag in the right fandom, on the off chance it tries to pop up in, say, Stargate. So please add a disambiguation to all your relationship nominations!
Batman - All Media Types is just too vague. We're trying to be as generous as we can with All Media Types, given that some people genuinely do want All Media Types, but Batman has a truly wild number of comics variations, movies, cartoons, video games, every type of media under the sun. You didn't let us know what media type you wanted before sign-ups began, so we deleted the nominations. However, if you would like, we can add in a specific Batman fandom or multiple, just comment below.
Tintin - All Media Types Nominator, are you sure you want AMT? You could end up with fic about the 2011 movie, the radio series, the books, one of the two animated TV series, the 1961 movie, or any number of animated films. You didn't let us know either way before sign-ups, so we stuck with AMT.
The Last Unicorn - All Media Types [Safety] is not eligible to be a safety. The movie by itself is eligible, as is the book. Or you can keep AMT but drop the safety. You didn't let us know either way before sign-ups, so we stuck with AMT and dropped the safety designation.
Black Mirror (TV) is eligible to be a safety if each episode is nominated separately. One nominator has already done this with the fandom "Black Mirror (TV) - "Hang The DJ" [SAFETY]". Nominator for relationships "Ashley O. & Ashley Too" and "Christopher 'Chris' Gillhaney/Billy Bauer", would you be okay with that, or do you want them all together under "Black Mirror (TV)" as you nominated them? Either would be good, we just wanted to give you the chance to use it as a safety if you wanted. If you don't let us know either way before sign-ups begin, we will stick with "Black Mirror (TV)".
Fullmetal Alchemist - All Media Types. Nominator, are you sure you want All Media Types? We're happy to approve it, but then you might end up getting fan fiction for the original anime, the manga, the video games, the light novels, the live action film, or the audio drama. It's up to you whether to stick with All Media Types or pick a specific media type, just let us know. If you don't let us know either way before sign-ups begin, we will stick with AMT.
Star Trek: Alternate Original Series 2009 [SAFETY] could either mean the 2009 movie, which is eligible as a safety but which is not a series, or it could mean all three movies (from 2009, 2013, and 2016 respectively) as referenced in fanlore. Nominator, which would you like? If you don't let us know either way before sign-ups begin, we will stick with "series", meaning all three movies, and drop the safety designation.
Finally, we're aware that "Rodney McKay/John Sheppard (SGA)" absolutely refuses to stay out of Stargate SG-1 and also that there's a few unassociated relationships still lingering, but we'll fix that tomorrow.
