These two have so much mutual respect and devotion, and I love how much they genuinely enjoy being together. Watson is so eager to learn from Holmes, while being quite competent in his own right, and I love when they get to really be a team. I adore Holmes running around tackling cases with so much excitement, and how indulgent Watson is of his weird quirks. Holmes is so enthusiastic in his infodumping, and I love Watson’s dedication to chronicling their adventures and indignation that Holmes doesn’t always get the credit he deserves. For Sussex fic, I prefer Watson retiring with Holmes so that they can spend their later life just hanging out together and getting into new hobbies (and occasional cases).

The most settled and domestic boys, who just trust each other so deeply. They’re so comfortable with each other and know each other so well, and I love that even into middle age and beyond they’re still running around having adventures. I especially love how fussy and erratic this Holmes can be, and how difficult it is for him to cope with the world. His mood swings and agitation over interruptions to plans are just great, and I love how Watson and Mrs. Hudson are so gentle with him when he’s struggling. Holmes loves his blankets, and it’s so sweet when Watson bundles him up in them. Watson still dealing with chronic pain from his war wounds is great, and I love that Holmes can tell when he’s in pain from just the sound of his steps. Mrs. Hudson is such a complete delight and a wonderful part of the Baker Street dynamic. She just tries so hard to keep her lodgers functioning! I also love that Holmes takes time to pet the animals, and I will always be thrilled at him getting to spend time with horses.

Holmes and Watson are so traumatized and trying so hard to hold it together in the face of the incomprehensible horrors! Holmes is so young and has already been through so much trauma, and I think he should be traumatized even more. His water trauma and then dealing with eldritch forces is just so much for his fragile sanity. He’s so shattered by the end of the game. Watson has so much of his own trauma, between his military backstory and the events of the game. Even though his war wounds aren’t mentioned in this universe, I enjoy him having them anyway, as well as him grappling with PTSD. Mycroft in this universe is just so tense and brittle and cares so much, while being so very bad at showing it. I love Holmes and Watson supporting each other, and the Holmes siblings taking steps to repair their relationship.

Fandom likes: Aftermath for canon hurt/trauma, Holmes struggling to recover post canon. Early developing friendship and getting to know each other. This canon is so creepy and full of horrors, and the way that it twists the familiar aspects of Holmes stories is so intriguing. I’m especially fascinated by how this world functions, and how daily life is affected by the Old Ones’ rule, both for Holmes and Watson and your average civilian. Holmes is so confident regardless of what role he’s playing, and I’m intrigued by how his deductive skills translate to the work he’s taken up here. Watson quietly writing plays, being a doctor, and then also being the one who performs the assassinations is delightful. I’d love to see backstory or post-canon for them and worldbuilding for the Restorationists, as well as the effect on sanity of being so close to the Royals during hunts.

Fandom likes: More hunts together, day in the life of Holmes’ and Watson’s work, exploration of how they interact with this world. Worldbuilding, general eldritch horror, looks into how this society functions. Watson’s past injury and chronic pain, exploring how Holmes’ usual mental health issues translate to this universe where he’s constantly exposed to madness-inducing creatures. This story is so spooky but also barely scratches the surface of all the implications of its lore. The Holmes family and the Diogenes Club in general are in such an interesting position of opposing eldritch forces, and I would adore more backstory, worldbuilding, or exploration of what other Lovecraftian threats are out there. The Holmes brothers clearly have a very different way of viewing the world and what should be done about these threats, but they’re still working together and respect each other. I would also love to see Watson learning about the horrors, particularly in aftermath for the story. Holmes is so freaked out and traumatized, and I’d love to see him trying to deal with that while also trying to figure out how to explain this to Watson. How do this Mycroft and Watson get along?

Fandom likes: Aftermath to the story itself, Holmes dealing with the trauma of what he experienced. Explaining the horrors to Watson. Exploring what exactly the Diogenes Club does, researching eldritch artifacts, opposing the darkness. Old blood resistance to eldritch forces (and worrying about that either failing, or about people like Watson who don’t have it in the first place). Aftermath, nightmares, trauma. Bill and Saul are just so completely comfortable with each other, and so secure in their dynamic. They’re both so committed to their work and their friendship, and I love that neither of them can ever stay angry at the other for long. They’re just both so loyal, and try so hard to take care of each other. Pre-canon stuff is such a delight, either when they’re in the merchant navy first becoming friends, or after Bill gets Saul back into the Fleet. I also love anything set during the show, from missing scenes to dealing with aftermath, and exploring the new Earth would be great. Saul being a traumatized disaster while Bill continues to absolutely trust him is so good. Some of my favorite moments are when Saul has to pull himself out of a spiral to do his job, or when Bill expresses that trust in him. I also love the idea of Saul deciding not to get back together with Ellen, and instead joining Bill at the cabin so they can enjoy retirement together.

Fandom likes: Early friendship in the merchant navy or back in the Fleet, missing scenes, post-canon exploring Earth. Saul drinking to cope with pain/trauma, the two of them having fun getting drunk and hanging out together, Bill being understanding when Saul is completely falling apart. Daily life on Galactica, the Colonies, or Earth. Quiet moments between trouble, taking a break after a hard day, supporting each other. War trauma, New Caprica trauma, aftermath for canon hurt. Worldbuilding and backstory. Loyalty and sticking together through anything, absolute trust in each other. Canon divergence where Saul doesn’t get back together with Ellen, and moves into Bill’s cabin (equally cool with that being as best friends or platonic life partners).

It’s such a blast watching the more or less regular people try to cope with the supernatural in various ways, whether by insisting “we’re all being hysterical!” like Roger or by actually confronting the forces against them. Collinwood in general is just such great spooky gothic horror, and I adore the way that the show continually incorporated elements of other classic horror stories. Roger and Carolyn have such a fun dynamic, with their little squabbles blowing over so quickly because they have so much mutual affection. Roger and Liz butt heads a lot over how to run the house and the cannery, but they’re such an effective team when they work together against a threat. I love seeing the way the three of them interact, and the way they cope with the spooky mysteries surrounding them. Pre-canon backstory, missing scenes during canon, or an all new supernatural incident would be great!

Fandom likes: Aftermath for canon hurt/trauma. Collinwood’s gothic horror atmosphere, secret passages, and ghosts. Playing with classic horror tropes, the family needing to deal with supernatural events. Exploring daily life at Collinwood, in Collinsport, and at the cannery. Worldbuilding and exploration of both the supernatural, and mundane things like how the business operates. Humor and sarcasm, every member of the Collins family being at least a little bit unstable, shady family history, time travel. Roger’s general sarcasm and sharp wit as a cover for his worries. Carolyn’s spot-on intuition (which she may or may not listen to). Liz being a general stubborn badass who will go up against any threat to the family. Roger and Carolyn being casually affectionate and bantering with each other. Roger and Liz being very much siblings and bickering, but backing each other up when needed. Roger solving every problem by having a brandy.

Look I love this show. Wang Ling has been through so much trauma being excluded in his youth that he;s not addressed. But he's finally made friends!! Who are with him all the way. Who trust him. And Sun Rong knows his secret and is by his side no matter what and they care about each other so so much and they trust each other with their life and I just think that is so!! He doesn't erase her memories,, when she was brainwashed he managed to get through to her and she fought off everyone,, she was so sad about trying to hurt him but he told her it wasn't her fault,, I just love their bond. I love that he finally gets to experience someone so wholly by his side.

This song is so wretched and good and about such toxic love,, Her and Alice both struggling and making each other worse,, I love the choreography in the video, the way they both fight and dance and it is intimate and they want to be close but also far apart,, the way Erin ends up "winning" and then turns the tv off that's about to draw her back into the downwards spiral,, she escapes,, finally,, but it's cost her a lot of struggle to get there. Grief and temptation and unhealthy coping and being drawn in by it all as they both just drag each other down but in a way that isn't meant to be malicious, they love each other but the love is not enough to save them,, a story about the way they trigger and encourage each other's unhealthy coping amidst their attempts to care for each other, maybe not even seeing at first that they're dragging the other down, that they are going down, a story about Erin recovering, a story about how she realises she needs this to stop in order to live, the push and pull of the comfort of love and familiarity and tragedy and change, I'd read it all!

Their fight was fun to watch, though Sako reminded me of teen Nanami from JJK but it works out, I felt for him because he looked up to Toma and Toma was only trying to lead him in a direction to make a place for himself and he took it the wrong way. Random thoughts:
- Kota getting in with Keel and being in too deep. Just open for lots of angsting and violence and Hiragi feeling like he "owes" it to Sako to get him out, maybe rebuffed that he doesn't know him anymore so get lost etc etc but something just rubs him the wrong way about the whole thing and becomes obsessed with figuring out something. And then all the found family goodness of everyone wanting to help with that.
- Werewolf Toma lives in my brain 24/7, everyone being chill with it but Kota is the one person that fixes weird and transcendent feelings within him. Why is he the one to quell the noise and bring the quiet? Who knows? Suo probs knows lmao (This is just random, i really love anything werewolf esp combo'ed with any likes esp with Toma being kinda stupid about feelings and love lol) Kota def doesnt help in matters either, I can see he has to open up a lot after trying to be less emotional these days so the combo is pretty A+.
- Meet ugly's and meddling friend situations laced with comedic effects are always a go to.
- I love the idea of them repairing their relationship and the romance doesn't come in for a long while. The bond builds, and it creeps in and it's very similar to 'didn't know they were dating' tropes because both are kinda emotionally constipated in different ways.

I love how smart/evil Mihaly is in this series, and I love seeing him do terrible things to Matthias and Vlad. That said, I'm equally into good ends for anyone (Mihaly wins? Vlad escapes early? Matthias regains control of himself?), and also equally into worldbuilding around exactly what Matthias having a regent means for the political situation and hot eroguro vampire pwp, or any mix of any of it! I'm also very interested in further explorations of both human supernatural abilities and vampire powers if you're into that! I think time loop might be interesting here too, no matter who's looping, just because of the additional supernatural things that everyone has to hide.

I adore the contrast between these guys - Jonathan the hot mess excitable reporter running around everywhere, Laszlo the grumpy historian stuck in his thermal bath to answer increasingly weird questions. I would love more of them!! Whether something around them building some kind of relationship (either romantic or casual sex type relationship is fine!) in the present/postcanon after dr Abray's lab gets destroyed, or AU during the game where Laszlo gets pulled more into the supernatural/time travel aspects (let the historian get to see history!). I'm also very into any kind of AU of the time travel: maybe Jonathan gets the ring earlier, or it works differently, or time travel doesn't necessarily cause a paradox, or whatever. I'm very into all kinds of stuff like Mihaly-gets-to-meet-Zsigmond, people meet Gardonyi Geza, people can come back and forth through time freely, whatever.

Lucas Bondes - I like characters who throw themselves into time loops as an attempt at self-punishment. What was Lucas's life outside his head during the period of the game? What is he like post-canon? I'd also be happy to read more of "Lafcadio's" interpretations of the events in-game.
Gold Skull - For such an important character, we see very little of his perspective. What is his understanding of his role in the casino's function? How and when did he decide to amplify the deaths? How much is he aware of time passing - the tree in the basement suggests that there are many, many more loops than what the player experiences in-gamel
The Bloody Girl & The Gold Skull - Both know about each other, and both seem to embody very different framings of what happened in the fire. I like the idea that the Casino in-game built itself around those two. What where their experiences of the early loops and of each other?
Nine Hearts/Nine Spades - Those Two Guys. How andy why did they become so entwined (literally or metaphorically, your choice)?
Worldbuilding - What is the experience of the timeloops for Gold Skull, The Bloody Girl, the King in Red, or any of the staff? What is the purpose of the rooms hidden away in the basement? Are there any other key rooms hidden away like the Room of Old Habits?

This commercial is awesome! There's so, so much potential for worldbuilding and expansion. How did these agents get started on their mission? What, exactly, happens when the heart Batsignal goes out? How does warning people about the potential for kidney failure involve high-speed motorcycle chases and helicopter flights? I'm happy with platonic, romantic, or queerplatonic interpretations of the relationships between the agents.

Personal headcanons to use or abandon as you wish

Octavia Spencer's character is senior. Sofía Vergara's character is newer (which is why the narrator ignores her at the beginning).
Quality of healthcare overall is pretty bad. The palette leans post-apocalyptic, so I like to think that something happened to make general preventive care more difficult.

Ever since I discovered these books back in 2010, I've been fascinated with the culture clash in the trilogy - between people from the present and people from the Bronze age (historical or original), and later also between second-generation Nantucketers and everyone else. But what especially caught my imagination was the experience of the "downtimers" whose world and culture are changing right around them, and who are adapting to this new world.

Kashtiliash, as an actual historical figure whose history is radically changed by the arrival of people from the future, is right at the heart of it all - and as prince and then king, he's one of the people in a position to shape these changes. Raupasha is propelled into the centre of events in a different way when the changed history puts her in position to make a significant difference both for her own life, for her people, and for Kashtiliash, whose enemy Tukulti-Ninurta she kills and whose father she saves. I would love a story that has these two interacting!

Kashtiliash is smart and adaptable and open to the new, but never to the point of forgetting the realities of the situation - the problems caused by the changes as much as the good. He sees the inevitability of change, and he's quick to adapt where necessary, but he's also very aware of the imbalance of power between his people and the Nantukhtar, and determined not to let them take too much control from him. I'd love to see more of him navigating all this. For Raupasha and her people, on the other hand, the Nantukhtar and Kenneth Hollard in particular are saviours, opening up an entire world of possibilities as she learns to navigate both the political situation and the strange context of conflicting cultures she finds herself in. Between her feelings for Kenneth and her drive to improve her people's situation, her missteps and successes, she grows into someone capable of having significant impact on the future of their world. I would love to see more of her growth.

Both Kashtiliash and Raupasha end up in a relationship with someone from Nantucket, and with siblings at that. I'd love to see anything about the culture clash in those relationships, perhaps a time when their different cultural context puts extreme strains on them. Or perhaps they find support in each other for the kinds of things that neither can truly talk about to outsiders? Anything that involves these two dealing with the balancing act between old and new would be great.

I'd also love something about Kashtiliash's views on women changing, not just through Kathryn Hollard in particular and the Nantukhtar in general, but also through Raupasha. Or something about politics regarding Mitanni, and Raupasha taking an active role in the planning. What if she had become queen of Mitanni after all? Or what happens to the alliance between Babylon and Nantucket once there's no longer a clear common enemy? What if Babylon's relationship with Nantucket becomes soured at some point? Or post-series - would Raupasha, even if she can't be queen, really turn her back on her people and leave? What could she do instead? What if her ideas don't fit with Kenneth's? Or what if Kashtiliash has plans for her that don't agree with Kenneth's - how would Raupasha handle being caught in the middle?

Or for something more experimental, maybe a history written in the future of this 'verse, examining their roles and impact?

I've always been fascinated with Christabel, its intensely atmospheric gothicness, its main characters and the subtextual eroticism of their dynamic, its open unfinished state. Geraldine in particular has been interpreted as so many different things, almost all in some way readable as a symbol of sexuality and otherness, and like the poem itself by its readers, she's subject to various interpretations within the text. What, especially, is "This mark of my shame, this seal of my sorrow"? So much to play with! And I'm very into the erotic tension between Christabel and Geraldine.

But ever since I watched Grimm I've been remembering one thing in particular. There's a bit that reads, "Behold! her bosom and half her side - / A sight to dream of, not to tell!" But in an earlier manuscript, the second line read, "Are lean and old and foul of hue", which reminds me immensely of the look of Grimm's Hexenbiests in their woge, all rotted, dried up and shrivelled. So - what if Geraldine is a Hexenbiest? She's canonically capable of magic: "In the touch of this bosom there worketh a spell, / Which is lord of thy utterance, Christabel!", so that would fit well. What if her magic backfired on her, or she's been cursed by a(nother) Hexenbiest, and that's where her mark comes from? Is she really the daughter of Roland, or is she impersonating that woman (perhaps via a Verfluchte Zwillingsschwester curse)? Why? What is her agenda, within a Grimm context? What if Christabel, perhaps, is a Grimm and therefore can see more than others? What if Sir Leoline is Wesen - Löwen, maybe? - and Christabel is half Grimm/half Wesen, and has been sheltered to hide that fact from those who would disapprove? Has her mother left something behind to protect her, which reacts against Geraldine? Maybe, like Nick, Christabel knows nothing until now - what will she do once she learns about her own heritage, and the Wesen world?

Or, if you feel like it, what about the other way round? What if, in the modern day, the Grimm team works a case that turns out to be related to Christabel and Geraldine? There could be a Grimm book or a Wesen history that depicts them and their history! Or something set in some completely different time and place.

But those are just a few ideas. There are so many potential ways of fitting Christabel and Geraldine into the worldbuilding of Grimm! The show gave us a lot of hints at a vast history between Wesen, Royals and Grimms, so there's a lot to play with. I would love anything that shows off how these two canons might mesh.

These two shows have quite a bit of overlap in both tropes and themes! Both have people with special powers secretly living among humans and often seen as monsters when exposed, but who are ultimately just people; some of them have animal traits and an ability to transform. There's a strong theme around bigotry and prejudice. Several characters have secret identities and hidden agendas, which are slowly revealed to others, and there's all the suspicion and (dis)trust that comes with that. You have the cases of the week, in which often the seemingly obvious turns out to not be true at all. Both Guardian and Grimm have their central ethos about overcoming bigotry and working together, with main characters from different groups.

A fusion where both canons take place in the same world would be awesome. Maybe Dragon City is on Earth, not on Haixing - in China, or maybe "Haixing" is a separate small nation - or Haixing (which must, after all, have an English-speaking population, given the signs and such everywhere in Dragon City) has an equivalent to Portland. Maybe Wesen are the descendants of Yashou who underwent further mutations, or maybe, back when their spaceship first arrived, these ancestors divided into three groups, not two: the ancestors of Dixingren going underground, the ancestors of Yashou fusing with animal and plant DNA, and the ancestors of Wesen also fusing with animal DNA but taking a somewhat different approach. Maybe this is a world in which instead of Yashou, there are Wesen!

I'd love any thoughts on how the worldbuilding might fit together, characters from different backgrounds trying to figure out each other's identities/powers/agendas, etc.

Some ideas/prompts: How about Shen Wei vs. the Grimm police officers, being his suspicious, opaque, unflappable and mildly trollish self at them? Maybe Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan are travelling on their honeymoon, and play innocent outsiders while getting drawn into Portland events. Maybe they're chasing a Dixing criminal all the way to Portland - or the other way round, maybe Renard is after someone in Dragon City, or Juliette during her downward spiral after her transformation doesn't stay in Portland but runs as far as she can from her old life, and ends up in Dragon City. (I'd love it if Shen Wei could give Juliette some help and advice, and/or he or Zhao Yunlan could help Nick get over his initial reaction.) Maybe Renard comes to Dragon City to talk to a contact, and meets Ya Qing, or maybe Ya Qing is looking for allies somewhere other than Dixing, and finds Renard. I think they'd clash and mesh in really interesting ways, hidden agendas and all. Maybe Grimm's seven keys hide one of the Hallows, or the wick of the Guardian Lantern, and the two teams meet on the quest? Maybe Portland is establishing an equivalent of the SID for dealing with Wesen cases, and our Guardian character(s) are called in as experts. Or how about Zhao Yunlan's worldwide livestream from a Portland perspective? Or it would also be very cool to have a Grimm case involving in Nick's or Rosalee's Wesen-related books that turn out to depict species or items from Guardian!

This mini-drama crams so much into its short runtime - enough for a full-length drama with all the spy shenanigans (trust, loyalty, betrayal!), the political intrigue and the insanely charged interactions between Li Yunzhen and Gu Xuanqing, the slow development of their relationship. It's an absolute delight. And the condensed format means that everything is distilled down to its most crucial and dramatic moments, which leaves a great deal of space for fic - both expanding on the drama itself, and what might happen afterwards.

Li Yunzhen is brilliant and scheming and kinky, and deceives everyone - I love the complex plan she devises, with everything hinging on her own ability to play her part, and she never falters, pulling it off perfectly all on her own even while falling for the man sent to spy on her. I love how even her own servants never suspect what she's really up to, much less her enemies. And I love Gu Xuanqing gradually realising the princess's public image and her character as he gets to know her don't add up, falling for her while seeing through part of her façade but not nearly all. I love his dedication and loyalty to his duty/the Emperor (he never considers betraying his mission, even while deceiving Li Yunzhen is increasingly weighing on him), but more and more also to the princess (even believing her to be corrupt, he still chooses to return to her and put himself into her hands), and the conflict between those sides, tension and divided loyalties and all. I love the dynamics between them and how they develop, the unapologetic kinkiness of it all. Li Yunzhen so clearly enjoys herself playing/being the dominant seducer - and Gu Xuanqing is entirely unprepared for finding himself actually into it, and wanting to hand himself over to her for real. And the only way he can balance things, at one point, is to keep deceiving her while accepting whatever punishment she hands out ...!

Seriously, I want more of anything and everything - the romance, the BDSM, the spy shenanigans, the loyalty kink, the political intrigue. :D

Some ideas: moments in between the scenes, adding more build-up to the tension or lingering on the fallout of events? Li Yunzhen's thoughts and feelings as she incorporates Gu Xuanqing into her plans, perhaps changing plans as she gets to know him and starts falling for him/trusting him? More of Gu Xuanqing's dilemma, and how he deals with discovering he wants to hand himself over to this apparently corrupt princess? How does she feel about that? All the loyalty issues, questions of trust, punishment tropes, that sort of thing - lean into this stuff and I will be very happy! Or if you'd like to incorporate backstory, maybe something with flashbacks to how Li Yunzhen came up with her plan, how she pulled it all off and built her reputation? Maybe post-canon, she tells Gu Xuanqing about it all? I'm also curious about her and her harem of bodyguards - what has she been doing with them? How did she gain her sexual confidence? What does Gu Xuanqing think about all of that? How do things change after the two of them get together - do they change? I'd also love anything about Li Yunzhen enjoying herself dominating Gu Xuanqing, or maybe her discovering just how much Gu Xuanqing is into it. Porn would be very welcome here. But non-sexual kink would be just as delightful! Or anything these two get up to together, in and out of bed. Post-canon, what do they do long-term? Li Yunzhen says she'll withdraw from court, but I can't imagine her being into a life of leisure, and I'd love any scheming she could do for her brother, and what part Gu Xuanqing might play in that.

Generally:

I've always been fascinated with Hexenbiests/Zauberbiests, their psychology, their relationship with the rest of the Wesen world and with the Royals, and with the Wesen world in general. I'm also fascinated with Renard and his place in the world of the show: the royal bastard allying with the Resistance, the Zauberbiest allying with a Grimm, the police captain who balances all of that. I'd love anything that plays with the worldbuilding around Wesen, Grimms, Royals, the Gesetzbuch-Ehrenkodex, the Wesen Council, Nick's inheritance of Grimm paraphernalia, and/or the various kinds of Wesen and how they interact with the mundane world. And I'm particularly fond of anything that involves trust issues and (unexpected) demonstrations of loyalty and support.

Nick/Renard/Juliette:

I love the dynamic between Nick and Renard - the Grimm who has a badge and a conscience, and his captain the royal bastard. They've been antagonists and allies, have protected and deceived each other, have every reason to distrust each other at times - and yet they always ended up setting their differences aside when it mattered. Renard may be ruthless, he may plans of his own, and the two of them may often trust each other only so far, but they've also saved each other's lives and implicitly relied on each other. Even after early season 6, they still ultimately ended up on the same side.

I also always thought that after Juliette and Renard were cured of Adalind's curse, a mutual attraction remained. They avoided each other afterwards and barely interacted, never really dealing with the aftermath or any remaining feeling. Juliette turning into a Hexenbiest gave them something fundamental in common, and I loved her turning to Renard for help when she didn't know what to do. Unfortunately Renard was too caught up in his own issues to help much, and they never got the chance to connect again afterwards.

Considering the above, but also Nick's and Juliette's relationship that was very solid for a long time and then spectacularly broke down, exposing all the things they'd never really dealt with before, I'd love anything that brings all three of these characters together to overcome whatever bad things the world throws at them.

Perhaps Renard manages to stop Juliette's downward spiral before it goes too far, or Nick overcomes his own issues and can help her through it, or she never ends up with Hadrian's Wall. Perhaps season 5 takes a different turn when Nick decides to trust Renard, and they manage to break through Eve's conditioning together. Maybe post-season 6, they come together after all. Or time-travel fix-it where one of them goes back and gets a chance to do things differently. Or something set earlier in the show, perhaps all three of them having to work together closely for some reason, or one or two of them saving the other(s). Perhaps Juliette and Renard confront their residual feelings from the curse while Nick and Juliette are still together. Or an AU where Nick learns Renard is Wesen right at the start of canon, or decides to tell Juliette the truth from the start? (What could make him make a different decision back then?) Or maybe Juliette met Renard first, and they're already involved when Nick appears on the scene.

Generally:

I love the drama itself in its entirety - the Haixing vs. Dixing conflict, the cases of the week, the found family of the SID team, and basically everything about the drama including the worldbuilding (aliens, yes!) and the ending (both Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlan using their own death to wring victory from disaster, and also that promise to meet again - for more of my feelings about the ending, see my comments in this discussion). The drama's themes really speak to me - bigotry and prejudice and immigration (especially in the context of Dixing/Haixing/Yashou relationships both personal and political), secrets and lies, trust and loyalty, powers and duty, misdirected blame/vengeance, and again and again things being other than they first appear. Anything that incorporated some of those aspects would be awesome.

Ya Qing/Zhu Hong:

I love Ya Qing in all her proud, prickly, well-intentioned-but-wrongheaded glory. She's dedicated to advancing the Crow Tribe, dissatisfied with the state of affairs (Yashou basically in hiding while human society advances), and to her, that end justifies her means - but in the end, working with Ye Zun instead nearly leads to disaster. I'd love to see the intersection of that with Zhu Hong's story as she finds her place as Yashou High Chief and comes into her own. Ya Qing might be just Zhu Hong's type, with her superficial cockiness and sincere intentions underneath, no matter how misguided. And Ya Qing might find an unexpected kindred spirit who likewise wasn't satisfied with the Yashou status quo, even though they took it in completely different directions.

Something post-canon or diverging late in canon would be great - in the aftermath of Ya Qing's bad choices and their consequences. Trust/loyalty issues, Yashou politics, struggling with attraction! How does Zhu Hong deal with an Elder who was on the wrong side until not so long ago? How does Ya Qing deal with Zhu Hong becoming High Chief? How do they win each other's trust? Or do they end up in bed together first? Or a time travel do-over where Ya Qing goes back to change things! Or something that involves Ya Qing's transformation.

For porn, if you're playing with power dynamics I'd prefer Ya Qing to be the more dominant partner.

Shen Wei & Ya Qing:

Shen Wei & Ya Qing: I love Shen Wei's competence, his iron self-control, and his general BAMF-ness, the steel under the unassuming professor's surface and the kindness under the black mask, the way he's both and more, and I'm fascinated with people's perspective on his various identities. I also love Ya Qing in all her proud, prickly, well-intentioned-but-wrongheaded glory, the way she thinks her end justifies her means, and instead nearly leading her tribe to disaster.

I'd love to see how their two stories might intersect. What is Ya Qing's perspective on the Envoy? How does it change as she learns more about him, gets to actually know him? What if they'd encountered each other sooner, and she'd known him well enough to change her trajectory? How do they relate to each other in a potential post-canon future where they're both alive and present? Or how about a time travel do-over where Ya Qing gets a chance to go back, and approaches him - or Shen Wei goes back, and knowing what he knows about her choices at the time, offers her an alternative?

I adore Luo Fei - he's quick and smart; he's sometimes sweet, sometimes abrasive; he can be a total mess (particularly regarding Captain). And Huo Wensi's calm cleverness and amused reaction to Luo Fei intrigued me from the start, but what particularly hit me was seeing him being beaten up in a prison courtyard while the look on his face said he was exactly where he'd planned to be. Together, the two of them absolutely fascinate me.

Dr Huo brings out very intriguing reactions in Luo Fei. Luo Fei is prickly and rude towards him without apparent reason, right from the start. He distances himself during their interactions, standing or sitting off to the side, looking away, or walking right out. He claims not to believe in psychology, but at the same time repeatedly puts considerable stock in Dr Huo's professional opinion, even after Dr Huo is in prison. Luo Fei wants nothing to do with Dr Huo - but doesn't turn him down when Dr Huo asks him to help him court Xiaoman. And when Luo Fei desperately wants someone to confirm his theory that Captain is faking, he appeals to Dr Huo. Their dynamic doesn't change even after Luo Fei gets Dr Huo arrested. I'm very into the tangle of intense emotion/frustration/(dis)trust/obsession/intellectual appreciation between them, love and desire included, and I'd love anything that plays on it or explores where it's coming from. Anything that involves them having lots of tension, and/or resolving that tension - and regardless of how it goes, some genuine connection - would be great. Plot or PWP or character exploration, it's all good!

Some ideas: A missing case or a moment from one where they're forced to work more closely together? I also love the parallels between them, right down to them solving cases from the same clues, and would love something that leaned into that. Or what's Dr Huo's take on Luo Fei's behaviour towards him, as a psychologist? Do they have backstory that explains Luo Fei's attitude? Were they lovers once? A bad breakup could explain a lot! How about a missing scene where they have a relapse? Maybe Dr Huo manipulates Luo Fei into it, or maybe he's carried away himself. (Maybe both.) Or something about Dr Huo's role as a psychologist, in a case that has nothing to do with his extracurricular affairs. I'd also love to see them dancing - literally or metaphorically.

In the finale, Luo Fei is certain he has outwitted Dr Huo. Has Dr Huo lost control of his own plan? When he detonates the bombs, is he choosing suicide as his only way out? (Does he survive despite that?) Or is he acting, and it's still all going according to his plan? He has previously demonstrated a willingness to get himself arrested and beaten up in order to achieve his purposes, after all. And if Captain was faking all this time - what if they end up working together against the real Captain afterwards, despite everything? Or what about an alternate ending, where things go differently after Dr Huo's escape from prison? Or some post-canon cat-and-mouse push-and-pull between them would be fantastic. A twisty plot directed at Luo Fei is also welcome, so long as it doesn't end entirely unhappily for either of them. Likewise, redemption for Dr Huo would be great, but them remaining on opposite sides is also good, so long as there's a genuine mutual connection.

Also, in most of their scenes, Qin Xiaoman is stuck right in the middle of it all, talking to Dr Huo when Luo Fei won't, and being almost-courted by Dr Huo. She mostly trusts his good intentions, but doesn't always accept his conclusions. If you feel like it, I'd love to see how her inclusion might affect any of the scenarios Luo Fei and Huo Wensi might find themselves in, what her perspective looks like.

Arima in Our Dreams at Dusk. How would Someone-san deal with Arima if she encountered him? How would the people at the Drop-In Center learn of his complicated history with his gender? How could he begin to explore it with these other people? Would he go by different pronouns? (I would LOVE if Arima started going by they/them or he/she/they pronouns!!!!) I loved reading Boy Meets Maria but it left me absolutely aching for more time with Arima Yuu. I felt like a starved orphan when the experience was over simply begging for more food!

Exploring Arima's acting career. The setting as actors on a stage is particularly perfect for Arima given the many moments it either assists or interferes with his exploration of his gender identity. I would have loved to see more moments like that, more details about what it takes to act on stage or even aspects of the production I'd never considered before, like preparing props/the scene and casting actors. How long does it take? Since this is a high school operation, I am assuming the students have to prepare all of this themselves? If he begins visiting the Drop-In Center after classes, does anyone else begin wondering where he goes and how could their support influence how he sees himself onstage? Could acting become an outlet for him to reanalyze his feelings about his gender identity and how he’s perceived?

School transfer drama. Tasukun transfers to a new school (either moving to a new city altogether, or a school in the same district) after incidents with bullying and things growing awkward between him and Tsubaki. Depending on the point of Tasukun's move in relation to both respective canons, maybe he would recognize Arima as someone who is facing struggles similar to that of Misora-san. Maybe an unlikely friendship forms between Tasukun and Arima after they run into each other in an awkward position (like Arima in women's clothing or Tasukun out and about with friends who are openly gay and trans outside of school). It could be fun and interesting to see how there might be friction between them (especially considering how prickly Arima was initially, and likely still is, in some ways)—before melting into something a little more familiar and supportive!

Summertime friendship to…? Similar to previous idea, but Arima visits Onomichi over the summer. I have so many ideas for fun things he could do—go out on the water, hike, eat watermelon, watch fireworks, and attend festivals and used-book markets! What if he's there on a family trip and is looking for every opportunity to slip away from them, which may or may not include disguising himself as the opposite sex and sneaking off just to avoid them? It might also be neat if Arima finds a random opportunity to participate in a play. What if that is how Arima learns about the Drop-In Center and meets Tasukun for the first time? Or what if Tasukun makes friends with Arima's secret female identity first, and Arima eventually reveals his identity? Once again, I'm very interested in the potential for gender fluid/nonbinary Arima!!

Feelings realization. Jing Yuan has been at Yanqing's side from the beginning. He's been happy to fill the role of a surrogate father figure and teacher, but as years and people come and go from their lives, Yanqing is a constant presence in Jing Yuan's mind. The graceful curve of his back has become accentuated with muscles where it had not been prior; his voice has dipped just a little, into something creamier; even clothing rests differently on Yanqing's body, which both men have become more conscious of. Jing Yuan's carefully conscious of the attraction growing steadily in the pit of his stomach. The confusing thing is he's not sure whether it's his imagination or if Yanqing is reciprocating his attraction with subtle flirting and sitting just close enough for surreptitious hands on thighs and exchanged glances that suggest he desires something more.

Canon divergence of Scalegorge Waterscape after Jing Yuan intervened in the fight between Yanqing and Blade and Dan Heng. Jing Yuan orders him to leave with the other Cloud Knights while he handles the looming danger. But Yanqing wants to be involved despite what injuries he might have. What would have happened had he stayed to fight? Would he have gotten in the way? What if, during the fight with Phantylia, Yanqing had been against Jing Yuan sacrificing himself and tossed himself into the middle of the danger instead, dramatically wounding Yanqing and putting everyone at more risk? Would Jing Yuan have been even more incensed, perhaps revealing a side of himself he shows to nobody else, or would he have kept his cool demeanor only to scold Yanqing behind closed doors later? What if Jing Yuan carried him back to the infirmary later and only then realized that the protection and fear Jing Yuan felt at losing Yanqing stretched beyond what he had first suspected and as it turns out it's love?

A story exploring Jing Yuan's and Yanqing's relationship as a general and student. “He broke the borisin's Devouring Wolf formation with Jing Yuan, beheading three Brood Lords. He also fought viciously against the wingweavers, ultimately sinking their almighty Cloudseizer Fleet.” What were these events like as they were happening? Did anyone sustain any injuries (sexily, with clothes that had to then be removed in order for bandages to be applied)? During their first war together, perhaps they started becoming more aware of the other's presence and the way they held themselves. It could be Yanqing's first time not seeing Jing Yuan as his father but as a General or even simply a man (😳).

Potential Jing Yuan rescue mission. For years, Yanqing has stood by Jing Yuan's side with the assumption that things would always be that way. But when Jing Yuan leaves for a colloquy and doesn't return with orders from the Xianzhou Alliance not to search for him, Yanqing's fears are on high alert. Is the Alliance up to something? Is Jing Yuan in danger, or even worse, missing or dead? Yanqing only knows one thing— there's not a doubt in his mind that he'll search for Jing Yuan to the ends of the universe, even if it means disobeying the (possibly corrupted) Alliance and losing everything in the process, even the role of Sword Champion which he had sought for so long. If his General isn't there to witness it, does it even matter?

Amnesia in either direction.
From Xiao’s side: Xiao doesn’t remember who Wanderer is after his erasure at Irminsul. Whether they were friends or enemies, now is an opportunity to rewrite all of it, and Wanderer decides that he wants to find a way to forge a friendship with Xiao. Xiao doesn’t readily recognize the stranger the first time they meet, but something feels familiar about him. It would be fun to play around with Xiao’s adeptal abilities to maybe help him in the recollection of his own memories, which could either complicate or help Wanderer’s efforts to develop a friendship with Xiao.

From Wanderer’s side: Between that sliver of time where Wanderer loses his memory and before he has them restored, Xiao recognizes that there’s something wrong. Whether Xiao still remembers Wanderer or just has an inkling that something has happened, it would be fun to read a story where he discovers what has happened to Wanderer and is enlisted to help. In the case of Xiao remembering and Wanderer not, I expect it would be very tender; the second possibility is very funny to me, though. Like maybe Nahida enlists Xiao’s help and tells him he doesn’t remember, but this is someone important to him, so he chooses to believe her and assist in Wanderer’s recuperation, which definitely doesn’t come back to bite him in the ass when Wanderer does eventually recover his memories and returns to being his prickly self, which could open a whole ‘nother can or worms.
Heizou/Lyney Prompts
Couple’s vacation and murder. Heizou and Lyney met several years ago and have been maintaining a long-distance relationship but finally will be seeing each other in person again. The long itinerary they’ve planned barely has enough room for them to breathe between shows, cafés, sightseeing, and travel, but neither could be more excited. It all begins with a train ride through the scenic countryside. The only problem? Their trip is in jeopardy of being delayed due to a homicide case with the murderer among the passengers. In order to save their vacation and bring the criminal to justice, Heizou and Lyney must work together to uncover the facts and solve the case.

Heizou investigating in Fontaine. Heizou must infiltrate a performance to solve a case and Lyney happens to be among the participants and is the only one who has sniffed out his true intentions. Does Lyney help him or hinder his progress for fear of it ruining his performance? Alternatively: At his boss’s behest, Heizou is encouraged to take a vacation after solving a difficult case, so he cashes out on a long-awaited trip to Fontaine. While there, he encounters Lyney, who winds up being an integral aspect of a case he (not surprisingly) finds himself at the center of.

Lyney in Inazuma. For one reason or another, Lyney (and Lynette?) have been recruited for a performance in Inazuma as part of festival celebrations. The twins take it up as an opportunity to close up a few loose ends regarding the Fatui based there, but Heizou picks up the scent of their work immediately, throwing a wrench into their plans. Alternatively, Lyney gets framed as the culprit for a crime he didn’t do (possibly also Fatui related?) and Heizou can’t help but stick his nose in the problem. Regardless of the setup, what I’m basically saying, is: Heizou deduction competency porn where Lyney is being a little criminal somehow. XD

I think I’m more interested in the sort of personalities these characters must possess to have attracted one another rather than by what the audience thinks. I feel like celebrity relationships are fairly common, and maybe it’s kind of like that, but I’m also so extremely curious who fell for who first and how the relationship first happened leading to the ensuing reveal. Why didn’t they reveal their relationship sooner? Maybe it was the classic fuckbuddy to long-time partners pipeline (where it’d be awkward to pinpoint exactly when it was “official” enough to talk about so it never happened), or they just really prefer to keep their private lives private. It would be fun if one half of the relationship doesn’t really mind sharing these sorts of details about their lives with the public and the other half is the reason it’s taken a year (or whatever) for the reveal to happen.

What happens after the sick fanfic author recovers? Did the blister pack come with any sort of indication of who sent it? What if something about the package tipped off who it was to the sick fanfic author, such as the handwriting of an accompanying letter? Is there ✨tension ✨? Do they live close enough to meet in person someday? How fun would it be if they wrote each other’s AUs and gifted each other fics on their birthdays, did collabs together, became beta readers, etc. etc.? It has so much potential to be cute!!
Mysophobic Employee/Coworker He Enlists to Help (M/M) (OW)
I really enjoy characters who cope with problems in maladaptive/destructive ways, and mysophobia definitely rests squarely in that area. I would really enjoy reading about a character who struggles with a mental illness and seeing how that stretches into every aspect of his life, including impacting his work and relationships with others. It would be interesting to see how a mysophobic character tries (and fails) to cope with worsening symptoms and how they manifest, such as going straight home after work, washing his hands frequently, wearing gloves, showering multiple times a day, etc, etc.

I imagine this kind of playing out as the mysophobic employee (we’ll call him Char A) being acquaintances with a coworker in the same department (Char B). Maybe B is one of the only person A is in consistent contact with aside from family members or online friends because the mysophobia has reached a point where he only goes out when it’s necessary. I usually prefer characters (sloppily) trying to solve problems on their own rather than seeking therapy, and I think this would be the sort of story where Char A only reaches out for help once he’s exhausted all other options and something terrible has happened.

Convergence of Yoshino’s work and personal life. I think it’d be super funny if Yoshino’s coworkers, who have always known him as being happily married, somehow meet Rou and slowly piece together that he’s a little too close to him. Outsider POV is not something I have historically read, but I feel like I could be converted into a fan. Either way, I really like it when characters are forced into uncomfortable situations and have to decide either to lie or fess up. It’s my favorite when the tension finally culminates in a public love confession; but it could be just as dramatic and satisfying for them to have differing expectations of how much the public should know and having to have a thoughtful discussion about what they want out of the relationship in the future.
Sui/Hibiya Niko Prompt 1/3
He turned down my confession?! I feel like this dynamic has a very clear and direct next step, which is a love confession from Sui that goes disastrously wrong when Niko politely turns him down because he’s just coming out of a bad relationship and doesn’t want to jump right into something else so soon. Maybe Sui’s determined to keep trying despite the initial rejection and Niko eventually concedes to starting out as “just friends,” which definitely always goes well and never results in things developing into romantic (or sexual) feelings over time. I’m always a slut for things exploding in a passionate one-night stand and having to pick up the pieces afterward, especially when one half of the relationship is not emotionally available (Niko) and exists to cause extra drama and distress for the hopeless romantic trying his best (Sui).

Jing Huan/Xiang Huaizhi Prompts
Jing Huan (Xiao Tianjing) is a scary fighter. Throughout the story, there were references to Jing Huan’s past experiences as a gamer and how he had been at the top of the leaderboard in the old server he used to play in. I would have loved to read more about that experience and also Idle Pavilion discovering this. Now that Jing Huan’s true identity has been revealed, what if he decided to re-spec Xiao Tianjing or start a new character in the server to feel that same rush again? I think it’s cute how JH (aka Jing Huan) and XH (Xiang Huaizhi) complete each other’s dailies now that they’re together, so maybe JH takes it as an opportunity to take back the throne and become a DPS king again.

And they were both tops/subverting the usual dynamic. I have nothing against Xiang Huaizhi being a dedicated top, but I do prefer dynamics where there’s more nuance there and top/bottom dynamics that are separate from dominant/submissive. As in, a top with a big dick who has a fun time being told what to do and how to use said dick, or a bottom who doesn’t lie down and let it happen but leads the sex because he knows exactly what he wants and how to get it. I want a Xiang Huaizhi who is coming to the realization that he’s been a horny mess for Jing Huan for far longer than he thought and a Jing Huan who uses that to his advantage to get exactly what he wants out of the experience (such as getting into some under-negotiated kink that neither would otherwise expect). I basically just want something that transcends the usual binary of top and bottom (Or “1 and 0” from the translation). It might even be fun to see how others would react to hearing that Jing Huan isn’t some cutesy bottom who whimpers during sex. I would even go so far as to request the opposite, where maybe Xiang Huaizhi gets off on being emasculated and encourages Jing Huan to take a lead in the bedroom because he likes it when friends are surprised to hear that he’s the one taking it up the ass (somehow, that feels more perverted than semi-public sex)!

Isn’t it weird that he still talks like that? I think it’d be really cute if post-canon, Jing Huan doesn’t see a point to changing the way he plays Xiao Tianjing despite people knowing that he’s a boy. I’m always down to fuck with gender stuff, and I don’t think he wants to be a girl, but everyone should be allowed to be as cutesy as they want! I would especially enjoy if it Yearning For doesn’t care (or maybe he even kinks out on it a little and finds the praise ink especially endearing now that JH doesn’t use a voice changer). In FACT, phone sex over voice chat while completing dailies or whatever have you is completely welcome and desired. I’d love this in dialog or chat or whatever you deem acceptable, but I really really liked reading Xiao Tianjing’s dialog with all the cute kaomojis and tildes and hearts etc.

Let them have sex. This was one story where any sex scenes were fade to black and I’m really hungering for some explicit scenes. Vanilla is fun—but so is phone sex, shower sex, drunk sex, or (dear lord) cockwarming with Jing Huan on Xiang Huaizhi’s lap while completing dailies or instances, etc. and having to keep his voice down while XH is in a voice call with the rest of the team. It’s a huge pleasure of mine to have characters fucking each other while playing co-op games together or dirty talk threatening to do those sorts of things. I’d like filling in missing scenes from canon or something exploring what their sex might look like post-established relationship. I do also love switchy dynamics or characters who get off on things other than anal sex; it’s really up to the vibe and what you think suits them best.

“Come to my rescue, Yanase.” Mitani asks Yanase to help bail him out of a date or some other engagement with a rival romantic interest who has been borderline sexually harassing him. Or really any situation where Mitani is getting unwanted flirtatious attention from someone and is getting sick of it enough to want his actual partner to take the initiative to do something about it. Especially because Yanase isn’t the type, I think it would be fun to create an environment where he’s challenged to act out of his comfort zone and winds up doing really well. Any time a character is forced to be uncomfortable or honest about something they’re resistant to admitting is one of my favorite tropes. Mitani is always the one initiating things in their relationship and sometimes leveraging his dom nature along the way, and I would love to see a situation where he uses that against Yanase to get him to do something really hot that winds up with him being rewarded with absolutely filthy sex.

Bad sex or dom drop. I like when things go too far—when there’s blood, or too much pain, or crying, or an unintentional fallout in communication that cuts the sex off before anyone’s orgasmed and they have to confront a lot of guilt and fear about being uncomfortably vulnerable. I like long aftercare, but I also like under-negotiated sex that winds up leaving both parties feeling awful. I understand why canon didn’t end up that way at all, but I’d be especially interested in a story where something goes wrong and Mitani especially is forced to confront a lot of terrible feelings. (Yanase seems inclined toward those sorts of moods already, so I feel like it’d hit even harder coming from Mitani). Even if it’s not super dramatic, I’d love to read a story about Mitani doing something that feels really, instinctively bad but not wanting to stop because Yanase seems like he’s having fun then having to sit with the memory of that experience for days afterward. Maybe it haunts him and brings him to tears but he doesn’t want to tell Yanase because he doesn’t want him to worry. I would love to see how Yanase could be put in a situation where he has to comfort Mitani (role reversal!) and assure him that everything will be okay. Maybe the next time they have sex, there’s a lot of attention put toward they both get the proper aftercare, or even instating a safe word for both sides so Mitani doesn’t feel like he has to push himself too far for Yanase’s sake.

Possessive Mitani with clothing kink. (This is one of my biggest kinks right now so it might as well get its own prompt). I think it’d be really cute/hot if Mitani started gifting Yanase more than anal plugs to wear to work. Like having Yanase wear upscaled outfits rather than the usual dress shirt and puffy coat. Any time Mitani gets a bonus or raise at work, he invests in more pieces for Yanase to wear, until there comes a point where his wardrobe is basically “Mitani’s” (in the sense that Mitani has chosen all of the pieces himself). Not really dollification (although I wouldn’t be against it leaning that route), but Mitani starts really having fun figuring out what he can dress Yanase up in next as a physical representation of Yanase being his. I really like the idea of Yanase being resistant to it at first, supremely embarrassed and worried that the clothing will get dirty because then it will cost so much for them to be cleaned or repaired. The natural response is, of course, to behave and not get them dirty then or he’ll get punished. I like the idea of Mitani getting a huge hard-on whenever he sees Yanase in the office with luxury brands and really pretty clothes that accentuate his small waist, beautiful thighs, etc. And all of the different elements of clothing kink and possession that could meld together into good fodder for fucking Yanase with his eyes whenever they’re in a room together. I love vests, leather, fancy shoes and jackets, etc, etc. and how the new wardrobe could be implemented in sex scenes, too.

Thistle with loss of desire. I think even if Thistle didn't get his desires back, he'd be a very animated person, as evidenced by his reaction to seeing Delgal when he woke back up from being defeated. I also think he would put up a fight and be a difficult person to work with. Even if he liked Mithrun, he'd probably still be a bit of a brat. That does make me wonder also if he would act like a tsundere if he had a crush?! In a post-canon world where Thistle doesn't get his desires back, it would be interesting if both he and Mithrun stayed in Merini (Laios's country). What if Mithrun wanted to help in his own little small way to make sure nobody ever suffered like he suffered by providing Yaad and the others some help in dealing with Thistle? How would Thistle react?

Mithrun helps Thistle keep some of his desires. Canon divergent fic where Laios doesn't eat the demon's desire but instead takes it to Mithrun, saying he thinks he needs it more. Now that the demon has been defeated and Mithrun doesn't want it to eat him anymore (as was revealed to be his true desire), Mithrun has begun to heal and decides to extend that gratitude further to Thistle. Do they split the desires? Does Thistle take it all? How does Thistle come to terms with the fact that someone acted out of the kindness of their heart to help him, and does he feel normal about it? (Considering how codependent his friendship with Delgal was in the past, I wouldn't mind if he was a little crazy about it!) Thistle wants to get to the bottom of Mithrun's reasoning behind helping him. Maybe feelings develop along the way. Maybe opportunities arise for Thistle to prove himself to Mithrun-- or maybe being a good guy isn't as easy as he expected.

Imprisoned Thistle. I’m interested by the idea of Thistle being imprisoned in the Central North Continent with the other Canaries now that their role is being dissolved along with the end of dungeons. Building upon the last idea where Mithrun feeds him some desire, it'd be fun if Thistle develops a deep desire to see Mithrun again and raises all kinds of hell only to return to Merini with no idea what he wants next. Or, even more interestingly, if Thistle's desire wasn't to see Mithrun but something else altogether. (Perhaps of a romantic or platonic flavor? What if Thistle’s remaining desire is companionship or to be loved, and on a subconscious level he thinks Mithrun can satisfy that want?) What if Mithrun comes to visit him in the elven kingdom, too? What would that look and feel like?

Mithrun and Thistle against the world. Literally anything with them both being conscripted into the others' community, whether that's both being Canaries or living in Merini. I think it would be fun if Thistle gets assigned to Mithrun's unit (even though... Mithrun was saying he was going to retire. Maybe Laios helps pull some strings and Thistle ends up staying with him on the island post-canon as its own sort of punishment. Past demon lords gotta stick together, right?).
